Photo Dump Friday

In lieu of a real post this week (the struggle is real, guys), I have another Photo Dump Friday post! Here’s a look into our lives from the past week. Spotted these beauties on a walk the other day. I can’t seem to figure out what they are! They look like Lady Slippers, but they were tiny — like, the size of a penny — and were growing on a bush. Anyone have any ideas?Nothing better than brunch outside with a pretty awesome Bloody Mary bar. The mini red peppers were so cute! The chairs we had on the front porch kicked the bucket during our housewarming party, so I’ve had to improvise until we buy new ones. I pulled out this hammock that Troy bought me a few months ago and set it up in the shade. No one ever talks about how difficult it is to get into one of these things! The dog’s judgement wasn’t helpful either… Gotta love a man who knows his way around the kitchen. Late-night snack: no-bake cookies (a secret family recipe). I took this photo from our front yard, once I figured out what was making the alien spaceship noise coming from the other side of the trees. Glad it wasn’t aliens.

Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!

  1. We make a similar (if not the same) no-bake cookies from time to time, but when Momma makes them it’s a production. A huge batch that requires cleaning and then greasing the entire kitchen table to lay them all out on and quickly, too, so they don’t set before you get them out of the pot!

Now I’m craving them. Thanks 😉

  2. I have only ever had a Bloody Mary with celery in it. Is that seriously bacon and shrimp? Haha, my mind can’t even process what it’s seeing in that drink!
