So remember those chicken gyros that I made, uh, yesterday? Leftover City today!
Add some chopped chicken gyro meat to a bed of greens, carrots, celery, and feta. Top with the tzatziki as a dressing and serve with pita wedges. Smoke out your coworkers with garlic and onion smells.
I also had to post about some fabulous things that are going around on the internet. First, I stumbled upon Adulting earlier this week and, no joke, read the entire thing in one sitting. I was laughing so hard I was crying. My favorite post is the one about going IKEA crazy. Totally me.
Lastly, some good friends have recently announced the fantastic news that they are adopting a baby from Ethiopia! Boyfriend and I are so happy for them — they will make amazing parents! One thing about adoptions, though — they are spectacularly expensive. So the mom-and-dad-to-be are holding an adoption auction in order to raise funds to bring their little one home. I am so excited to be able to contribute to this great cause. The auction runs from December 5 through 9, and you can read all about it, as well as their entire adoption process, on their adoption blog. And come December, be sure to stop back to bid on some of the amazing things they will be featuring for their auction (oh, you know, maybe some of these. Possibly these).
Cheers (to the freakin’ weekend)!
